We have a visitor from corporate who is there to audit our files - make sure we’re compliant and all. I walked into Dave’s office to see the corporate lady sitting there. I frequent around half a dozen blogs these days and most of them, when political, are of a more liberal slant. I’m not really sure when the left seized control of the net, but it doesn’t really matter - it’s easy enough to over look. Defective Yeti is a new addition, I’m still working through the archives, and thus far the political posts have been few. The one below is my favorite.

Pirate Bay’s Rain on the MPAA

The Swiss bootleg site Pirate Bay was brought down a few weeks ago by the MPAA and the Swiss equivalent APB. Now that they’re back they’ve sent a response to the MPAA and APB using the same methods that took them down. You can see the text of their message after the jump.

I found this site tonight.? Its fairly cool what this guy can do with a balled up post-it note, but what I really like is that it seems he not only gets his supplies at work but does his practice there as well.

Shark and Gator

I was leaving work the other day when I noticed that some unknown person had placed a plastic shark and a plastic alligator (or is it a crocodile?) under a tree at the edge of the parking lot.? I returned that evening to take this photo.? Today I noticed that they were missing.? I don’t know if the grounds crew took them, their owners reclaimed them or if they got tired of waiting and left on their own.

Religion and the Comics

When I first found this page I thought it was a joke.? I went a little deeper and discovered that they take themselves quite seriously.? Adherents.com offers statistics on what people believe.? For some reason they’ve taken the time to write some very in depth essays on the religious beliefs of comic book characters.

Though I’m not a huge comic fan I’ve been known to haunt the racks on comic book day, mostly with Grady and Garold back in the Cleveland days, so I’ve decided to include a few favorites.? Seguir leyendo »
