This isn’t a full post. Just a comic that seems to speak on this subject.
It’s been a while since this catagory has been posted in, but I have high hopes for some news soon. Whether I’m met with success or failure you’ll be able to read all about it right here.

America is a pretty safe place but there is still danger around every corner. The National Safety Council spells out the danger in raw numbers. Here’s how our fellow citizens met their makers in 2002. Seguir leyendo »

The last few Fridays there have been some pretty big storms coming through the area surrounding my little town. We’ve been lucky and they’ve missed us for the most part, but some areas to the west have had tornados.
Today I saw some damage just two blocks from my place. There’s a little park in Jackson Square, between the art shops and the Playhouse. There was just one tree. It is no more.

Last week at work we had ‘fun week’ that mostly consisted of diffrent themes each day with no real other festivities; hats, sports, hawiaian shirts, etc….
Friday was team theme day and after much debate our team decided that Friday, pick your own theme day, would be Hillbilly day, mostly due to the fact that most East Tennesseeians have something in their closets that’d be appropriate.
I’d decided early on that I would not be participating in any dress-up days.? I’ve never been big on costumes and knew I’d have an unproductive day if I was uncomfortable, so Friday morning I put on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt and headed out the door.? It was a little chilly outside so I went back into the house and grabbed a flannel shirt.
About halfway though the day someone came by my desk and started giving me grief about not dressing up.? One of the little girls on my team, eager to help however she could, stood up and said; “Yes he did.? He just took his flannel shirt off!”

I live in the southern US, and though my landscape has mostly recovered from mining that took place years ago, I can still remember seeing the strip mining scars on the mountains in the distance. My mom lived in coal mining towns in Kentucky as a child, Lynch and Hazard (though I’m not totally sure Hazard mined coal.) I’ve been to Lynch; I’ve seen the old company store - I’ve seen the devastated landscape. Seguir leyendo »

A few years ago I made the switch from Microsoft?s Internet Explorer over to Mozilla?s Firefox browser, a free open sourced browser. At the time there were some huge advantages such as tabbed browsing (allowing multiple web sites to be loaded into one window) and an integrated pop-up blocker, features that the newest version of IE also has.
What IE doesn?t have, and probably never will, are extensions. What are extensions you may ask? Extensions are small, generally free additions that you can use to enhance your web experience. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of them out there but not all are useful. Here are the best I?ve been able to find: Seguir leyendo »

Reuters has the video from a Swiss Tourism commercial aimed at the wives of Europian Soccer fans. The ad doesn’t attempt to showcase the shopping, the cheese or the pansy-ass history of not getting involved in world conflicts. No, instead they show shot after shot of attractive young men. The intended message of the ad is to encourage women whose husbands will be off at the finals matches they should have a holiday with a a Swiss stud.
Check it out.

I’m normally pretty in the know when it comes to the odd ideas and theories and the ‘net seems to churn out, especially those that relate to pop-culture.? I’d never heard about the Communist Mario theories.
Newgrounds has a great animation.? It’s a bit violent and I recomend checking out the link above so you’ll get everything.
(The first link has some language and the second is a bit violent.? Be warned punks!)

My Church has been doing a large Easter production as far back as I can remember. Over the years the basic production has remained nearly the same year after year, with minor changes here and there to keep it fresh.
This year my own friend Lucas was asked to direct for the second year in a row and he decided to write an entirely new production.Lucas took a different approach than we?d ever used for an adult production before. The play was set in modern times as opposed to being a period piece, had horribly flawed characters and a more honest representation of a walk with Christ. Seguir leyendo »
