The weekly catch phrase has become a little too hard to keep up with week after week.  They’ve been a little forced lately.  I’ve decided to end the weekly recurrance and instead add them as I find them.  I’m still more than willing to take submissions from others though.  You can submit catch phrases either via comment here on the blog or you can send me an email.

Okay.  That’s bad.  But it brings us to the point of the post.  We’ve moved servers again and though the transition went rather smoothly, a lot of comments didn’t make the jump.  I’m going to talk to my host about it and see if we can get them put back up. 

Other than that the transition went rather smooth this time and we’re back on with full functionality. 

Yesterday afternoon A* and I went candle shopping at K-Mart of all places.  At the front door there was a table where they were signing people up for sittings with Olan Mills.  I joked that we should get our pictures made and the guy behind the counter caught the whiff of a hope of a sale. He started to follow us saying:

We’re running a special…, for Easter.

It really wasn’t so much what he said but how he said it.

My friend Mel emailed me and pointed out that comments were turned off.� I guess that’s why feedback has been so sparse.� They should be back on for all posts now.� If you find one that won’t let you comment let me know.�

Just some random news:

• I spoke with my friend Melanie last night.� She says she has lots of photos of the cactus incident that I’ve never seen.� She says she’ll make copies.� If she does I’ll post them here.� I also found a few more things from the story that I need to post – an email and a newspaper clipping.
• Here’s my new catchphrase: “Well, monkeys are pretty forgiving.”
• I’ve reunited with a long lost friend, S-h.� I’d forgotten how much fun she is.� Her new catch phrase is “Foods Papa.”

That’s it.

Hey kids.� We’ll we’re on our way back with the readdition of our quote at the top of each page.� Not even close to all of them are back but we’re working on it.� In addition it will now include links to specific posts, other sites and photos.� Hit refresh and see what pops up.

I’m hoping to start rebuilding the layout soon.� Since I’m off all day now, I don’t go in until four, it’s easier for me to find a quiet place with Internet access so I can code.

I’m also looking for a good spam filtering plug-in.� If anyone can recommend one, that’d be great.

Well it seems my themes and plug-ins didn’t transfer over to the new site.� I thought I had them stored on my laptop but I guess not.� So until I have a ton of time to kill with an internet connection we’ll be sticking with this rather generic looking theme.� I’m none too happy about it.

Sorry things have been so quiet.� I’ve lost my Internet access at home so now it is rather difficult to blog.� A lot of my blogs were based on things I’d found on-line, and since browsing is a thing of the past for me…we’ll I guess you get the picture.

We also went dark for a few days due to a server move.� The site’s look should be back to normal by this weekend and I’ll start working on new posts and such.�

To hold you over, here’s a little gem that showed up as comment spam:

As you can see I’ve been playing with the color scheme on the site. I think I like the new earthy tones. Let me know what you think – comment people. Let me know you’re out there!

There are a few known problems with the site:

• When a page being viewed is shorter than the side bars the main column’s background color changes to the same as the side bars.
• Photos that fit in the old site are now too large.
• The site may or may not appear correctly in IE, depending on the screen resolution.
• No one comments (except Mel)

As these are fixed I’ll update this post. If you’ve found other issues let me know.

I went out and took some photos today. Two of them turned out pretty good. I’ve posted an altered version of one below. The other was used to make my new header. Watch for a color change this week.
