I love Kentucky almost as much as I love Tennessee. I used to take periodic trips up to Lexington to see my friends Mel and Lance but hadn’t been in a while. They got married a few months ago and I made the journey north to attend.
While there I got to visit with some people I’d gone to college with; Chris, Stormie and Adrian. I got to see Stevie and Tilly and of course Mel and Lance. A good time was had by all.
I’ve kicked the idea of moving to Kentucky around over the past year. Things at work are going really well for me but my personal life really sucks. I could transfer to Kentucky without too much trouble and probably get a promotion in the process. At the same time though, I’m scared to death to step out into the unknown, the Bluegrass State.
Here are some pics from the trip to KY.

I’m on vacation this week. My sister T is in from England so I took the week to spend time with them each day. Today they’re in Louisville visiting my aunt so I’m at my parent’s doing laundry.
So if I had been posting in the last week or so I would have touched on Scooter Libby’s Get Out of Jail Free card, the defeat of the Immigration Bill and of course, the madness in the UK.
Since I’m not posting, here are some pictures I took while hanging out at Frozenhead State Park.
Last June I posted about a Shark and Gator that’d been seen hanging out around the parking lot where I work. Though she had nothing to do with the original appearance of Shark and Gator, my friend SS and her boyfriend took the plastic critters into their hearts and home.
SS recently discovered Stillspinning and saw the post. She brought Shark and Gator to work today and gave them to me.
I’m pleased as punch to have them.

A while back I promised a recent photo of me before the big shave.? T sent me this one from the Fat Penguin show at the beginning of July.? Since I’ve started neglecting the shaving again we’ll after to wait for the after.
I went out and took some photos today. Two of them turned out pretty good. I’ve posted an altered version of one below. The other was used to make my new header. Watch for a color change this week.
I was leaving work the other day when I noticed that some unknown person had placed a plastic shark and a plastic alligator (or is it a crocodile?) under a tree at the edge of the parking lot.? I returned that evening to take this photo.? Today I noticed that they were missing.? I don’t know if the grounds crew took them, their owners reclaimed them or if they got tired of waiting and left on their own.
No matter their fate, its always nice to see something random.? (photo? after the? jump) Seguir leyendo »
More photos from those days so long ago. I hope everyone is enjoying this little trip down memory lane.
