Sorry this is so late.? I spent the day in Cleveland for E’s birthday party.? I miss Cleveland.

  • This was from this week’s comics. Oh man did I laugh.
  • Kids 4 Truth is a creationist group headed by Bob Roberts.? It’s goal is to teach children the Biblical view of the Earth’s orgins.? They’ve produced a very entertaining movie on the subject.? Very well done.
  • It has been a while since we’ve posted a Lego item.? Ueba.net has a very impressive Venice model.
  • Sweman is an urban art (reads: graffiti) project by the German (?) artist Sweza.? Using posters created in studio Sweza places the life-size silhouettes in odd places on buildings around Berlin.? Very cool.
  • Finally a short film by Quiet Library and Switch Pictures called Perfectly Aligned is well worth a watch.

Thats it for now kids.? Hopefully I’ll have a week worth blogging about.

Esher’s Legos

We all know and love M.C. Esher’s drawings of the impossible.? The staircase that returns you to the top of itself, the waterfall that feeds back into the stream from which it came and all the others.? Someone has managed to get it done with legos…sort of.

I thought about posting this for my small lego site collection.? They use digital effects to make the model truely look like Esher’s drawing, but the construction is complex enough to warrant inclusion.

Caution: Explicit Content

Of all the lego sites I’ve seen, the Rev. Brendan Powell Smith’s has to be my favorite. You should explore the entire site but my personal favorites are the execution of John the Baptist, instructions for slaves (because its just so strange), and of course the warnings of explicit content including full frontal male and female nudity, adult language, graphic sexual acts and graphic violence.
Wow.

Are Legos Catholic or Protostant?

Someone with much more time, money and legos than me made this really nifty Lego Church.? Very cool.
