When I was out for a few days once, my friend Jill put a cardboard door up on my cubical at work. No big deal but just to keep the fun going I vowed revenge. On Monday I told her that the next time she went out of town I’d have my revenge. Later that day she announced that she’d be taking the next two days off.

I talked to another of the ladies up front and pitched my idea. She agreed to give me full access to not only Jill’s office, but the supply cabinet as well.We spent a few hours after work each night labling nearly everything in her office with post-it notes.

We went through around 800 of them, though not all are visible when walking into the room or even poking around it for a few minutes.Photos are below. You’ll have to wait for the reaction story.

The back of the door. The post-it on the ‘Meeting in Progress Sign’ says ‘Meeting in progress sign’

Since this is the office of our HR Admin., we didn’t feel comfortable opening any drawers so we just labled the outside. There are a lot more post-its here, they’re just out of site.

The post-it on the side says ‘Peanuts’. The ‘Two bits’ post-it refers to the quarter in the slot.

This is where we spent the most time, behind the desk. Even her post-its are labled. Each pen and pencil in the holders are labled individualy.

Another shot of the desk.

A close up of the chair. Each chair in the room had at least this much detail, some had more.

And yet another shot of the desk. The 2005 calendar on the left has the last few years below it. They’ve all been marked as well.

The ‘L’ of the desk. Notice the seperate post-its for the tissues and the box.

The Fridge

Inside the Fridge.

A good shot of the bug killing device the Cooks man left.

We made about 50 post-its for the leaves on the plants. Not all the plants appear in these shots.

Another bug killing device

Each ceiling tile had its own post-it.
