My mom used to work for Weight Watchers. One of the members in her classes had a rather insensitive family and, for her birthday, gave her a cookie-bouquet. Their thoughts were that they’d get to eat the cookies and laugh at her because she couldn’t eat them. This was not to be. The cookies were delivered when no one else was home so the woman took them and had the entire bouquet shellacked - so it’d keep.
Nice.
Jay’s long been insensitive with food. He once ate in front of me when I was in labor and couldn’t have anything. Bastard.
Um………what does “shellacked” mean.
someone else better post a comment in response to my comment. I don’t know what “shellacked” means and its upsetting me! am I dumb?
Shellac is produced from the secretions of a bug, deposited on branches of trees in India. Shellac can be diluted with denatured alcohol to make the shellac workable, or to dissolve and remove shellac. Typically used on furniture, shellac can be used as a fast drying sealer. French Polish and simulated lacquer techniques employ the use of shellac as a sealer.
